EP.221/ How to manage Endo, hypermobility, mcas and dysautonomia without the overwhelm with dr Jessica drummond
Today’s episode is with my tutor and world renowned endometriosis expert Dr Jessica Drummond.
Dr Jessica Drummond is the founder and CEO of the Integrative Women’s Health Institute, where she trains thousands of practitioners and works with patients with endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain conditions. She is also the author of the incredible book Outsmart Endometriosis.
Jessica is hosting a free endo workshop Outsmart Endometriosis Workshop, “6 Strategies to Reclaim Your Life from Endometriosis” on Oct 25th 2pm at 2pm EST. Sign up here. You can attend live or watch the replay, but you must be signed up to receive the recording.
In today’s interview, Jessica and I continue a conversation we’ve been having together for much of the year - and this is the connection between endometriosis, MCAS, dysautonomia and hypermobility.
Something I love about this conversation is that we talk less about the diagnosis of these conditions, and more about how to think about these new conditions and how to approach healing without overwhelm and without getting caught up in the weeds.
I think this is a great conversation if you’ve been wondering whether you have these conditions but were scared about what this would mean for you, or you have these conditions diagnosed already but you didn’t know where to start.
In this episode we discuss:
The prevalence of MCAS, dysautonomia and hypermobility in the endo community.
Why these conditions present in people with endo and how they may develop or be triggered later in life.
Dr Drummond’s approach to managing these conditions in the context of endo and how to avoid overwhelm.
How to work with Jessica and access her free workshop!
I really hope you find this a useful interview in our ongoing focus on endo, MCAS, dysautonomia and hypermobility.
